I guess I can't really speak for her, but I wanted to mend some bridges. You all got wiped out. The school people, I mean, you all just - were gone, and I'm so dang sick of this weird gang war bull going on, so.
I wanted people to know that it isn't... you know, my sinners versus the rest of them. I picked you specifically because you've been trying to help. [and because he was really kind to her in that one letter but she'd rather die than say that
I said it for a reason, you know. From "your sinners" to people like Cloud, Jason, Emet-Selch... people are naturally drawn to you. It's a little hard not to admire someone with your level of conviction.
...he's been a little under the weather, but given what we've learned of the staff recently, it's not really a surprise. [ beat ] He also wanted to let you know he sent you a bouquet.
...Unfortunately, I'm not too versed in flower language myself. I've never had much of a green thumb.
[ ...to her other comment though, he just laughs weakly. ]
You won't find much of a difference, I'm afraid... seeing as how the bulk of my recent notes were simply transcribing and commenting on the meetings you've had on this side.
I guess they're not important for now. But uh - there's the stuff with Virgo. And the cannibal guy. And, uh - Souji? I guess just tell me what you can about what's over there.
[ i'm gonna say they've come around to a space that has some kind of seating area so that hope can try to sit down instinctively... and just sort of fall through the chair. and also into the ground. oops ]
[ the top of his head pokes out of the ground. while his face is visible only from the nose up, the way his eyebrows pinch definitely say that he is pouting. ]
[ give him a bit then >:( but he slowly starts to rise out of the ground, until he finally plants his feet back on the ground (metaphorically, of course). ]
...I guess not having a fully physical form isn't all that different from spatio-temporal displacement.
—Right, sorry. What I meant was... it's like I'm from a different time and place, unable to interact with anything "here." By all means, I'm not supposed to be here, yet... here I am.
Of course. And now that I'm over here, hopefully I can figure out how to free the others, too. All of us are getting out of here.
That being said... [ from one of the pouches hanging off his waistbelt (i hate that i have to specify), he takes out and unfurls a sizable sheaf of notes that's just as translucent as he is. ] Where do you want me to begin?
Our main locale was a mansion—obviously nothing as nice as the hotel, but the building itself was... surprisingly pleasant, all things considered. We were able to witness public events via animated portraits and gramophones in the dining hall. While we couldn't directly interact with the staff, besides Virgo, we could still send them messages via typewriter and meet with them in a special room that allowed us to share dreams with them.
Of note outside the mansion were a garage with a carriage, a garden that we could send flowers from, and an exact replica of the cemetery on this side.

Ask away. [ beat ] It's refreshing to be able to talk to you face-to-face again.

Right? I didn't realize how much snail-mail bothered me until I had to do it. [...] I'm glad my choice didn't get denied.

I was your pick?

This is why I said those things about you.

Ugh. My street cred has taken so many blows. [shoves her hands in her pockets!!!] ... I just wanted to do something nice for you.

I don't know, writing to me was pretty nice in itself. [ ... ] How did you and Harrowhark decide, if you don't mind me asking?

It's the charisma stat. I make it work for me. [she says like her ears are not slightly pink.] ... Is he okay? Emet-Selch, I mean.
[her lips purse a bit.]

I got the flowers. They were nice. Not a dang clue what they mean, but they were nice.

Ghosting around in whatever form always throws me off real bad, so like, I do get it. Sucks. [...] We're going to fix it, though. Promise.
