[ with their new hotel keys, hope makes his way up to the little dipper hall to check out his room! it's more of a "get your bearings" kind of excursion rather than a "it's been two hours since i checked in and sean has finally let me into my fuckin room and i am just ready to die on this bed" one, though; he's not planning on settling down just yet.

naturally, this leads to him checking out the bathroom... ~coincidentally~ at the same time as the other person staying here. ]

Oh, um, hi there. You must be Harrowhark?

[oh. she jumps slightly when the bathroom door unlocks, having just been inspecting it, and then tries to play it off like she didn't. there's a large sword at her side, way too big for her.]

...Yes, of course. And you are Hope, I suppose.

[ being a final fantasy, hope is not deterred at all by small girl with big sword! running into a girl in a bathroom is, however, a different story, ]

That would be me. [ beat ] Sorry, if you were, um, planning on using the bathroom for anything, please feel free to go ahead. I wouldn't want to infringe upon your privacy—I was just looking around to see what these rooms have to offer.

Harrowhark, you may leave the barricade on my side of the suite up in the morning. In an effort to be transparent and establish a timeline of my actions, I'm letting you know I'll be spending the night at Starshine's with Claude. If you feel any sudden emotional upsurges tonight, it was probably because of him.

Understood. Please stay safe to the extent you are able to. I am not yet certain where I will spend the night, but it will be with Mollymauk and Lup.

[after trial, harrow will return to her room. but on the way back, she may just run into hope. she sighs - her feelings are definitely a bit frazzled, with a lot of that lingering anger and frustration.]

[ it isn't a surprise that hope is also on his way back to his room! he probably stuck around the mess hall for a bit to just, idk, drink water to make up for all the yelling he did in the last few minutes. that's also probably why his voice sounds a little hoarse when he nods at harrow and quietly responds, ]

...he must keep his emotions in check very well for us to have only picked up on them while he was under extreme distress.

[she's used to keeping her cool despite boiling anger but it's still leaving her slightly exhausted.]

Claude and I will be staying at the concierge desk. I'm curious about the information available on our games' past locales, as it seems like it may be helpful in the weeks to come. As before, you don't need to tell me where you will be or if anyone will be accompanying you; that being said, I appreciate whatever you do choose to share with me, if anything.

Hello, Harrowhark. Claude and I will be in the library tonight. It'll be a futile effort should we try to search for information that may be relevant to us, more likely than not, but never say never, right?

Is it safe to assume that you'll be with Mollymauk and Lup this week, too?

Yes. The simulation room. I believe Cloud and Emet-Selch will be with us as well.

[ ...well. it's friday, and they're both alive, if the invoice is to be believed. it's probably a little later in the morning when hope returns to the guest rooms, and it's with a sort of trepidation that he knocks on harrow's door. ]

Harrowhark? It's Hope. Are you there?

[she will open her door. welcome to her room full of bones; it's very creepy in here.]

...I'm alive and well, but I did have a dream. I suppose we already knew the simulation room was related.

[ this would unsettle him much more if he wasn't already kind of acquainted with harrow. it's fine. ]

... I see. [ beat ] We didn't end up in the library, by the way. We were in the cemetery instead.

Good evening, Harrowhark. You probably don't need to be reminded, but in the case that we lose sense of time within our memories: it's Thursday.

Claude and I are in his room following the events of this afternoon. We realize this is hardly an ideal situation, with only each other to be able to confirm our whereabouts... but he insisted, and I couldn't find it in me to say no in his state.

Is it safe to assume you and Lup are doing something similar with Mollymauk tonight?

Don't be silly. Both of you are trustworthy. Make sure he rests well.

[sometime tuesday morning, harrow and hope can get breakfast. or. well. harrow can have some hot water and no food and i don't even know if hope can eat.]

...How is it? Is it odd, being back?

[ the mods confirmed that he cannot... so he will just. awkwardly watch as harrow eats. he can't even sit on the chairs or anything he just goes through them so he's just standing there please help. ]

While I am glad to see everyone again... it is a little frustrating not being able to physically interact with anything. [ ... ] I wonder if this is how restless spirits typically feel.

week 7: friday

[ there's some knocking on the door leading from harrow's room to the bathroom she once shared with hope. hmmmmm.
